cosmetic changes to the blog too, sometimes! We saw this background caramel and we could not resist! I hope you like it too ^ ^
soul of the June 22 all went well: you were really a lot! Fortunately we had enough cups of yogurt for everyone! Soon (hopefully) post the photos.
Today, in anticipation of long waits under an umbrella before you go swimming or long car trips, we propose the creation of a colored bracelet with the technique (base) of Kumihimo. It 's something a bit' different from what has been proposed so far, but we assure you it is very simple and striking, is also a job that allows you to keep your hands busy while you talk or think of anything else.
We've convinced? Well, let's start!
need: 4 cotton thread colors of your choice (we recommend you keep plenty of length, between 70 and 80 cm) and a card on which to clip the "frame" (we got one side of a packet of pasta ).
The "frame" is nothing more than a round (to make the mold, we used an old CD) with a central hole (the hole smaller than a CD), which, outside of the cuts we have applied (the true Kumihimo and would require just 32 equally spaced, for what we propose will take less, even without eye)
prepare all four bending the wires in half and not too big a loop forming a knot
Positioning them on the "frame" loop and knot are stuck in the small central hole, while the loose wires should be placed in pairs to form a cross. To make your work easier you can move them like we did, alternating colors (we have used only two, but you can follow the same principle with strands of four different colors)
Fixed all that remains is to begin. The process will always be the same for the entire length of the bracelet (When you are more skilled you ranges of other types of beads or knots), place the cross of wires in front of you. Take down the wire to bring it right into the cut in the top right
quidni Take the wire at the top left (if you placed the wires like us, will be the same color of thread that you just moved) and the flow in the lower left.
Note that the wires that move will never meet.
Now turn to the fourth frame in order to bring before you the threads on which you have not worked, and repeat the same process (wire at the bottom right at the top right edge and top left bottom left). It 'important turn in the same direction so you should mark the direction on the frame you're working with an arrow.
After a bit 'of steps you will notice that the center hole in your bracelet takes shape!
interrompore If for some reason you want to work, just marks the last step done, if it were not enough, just look at the core of the work: the color above is the last you've moved
When you reach the right length, remove the wires from the frame and seal with a nice big knot that will put nell'asolina for closure.
We hope we were clear (this laboratory is a bit 'more difficult than usual), in case you do not hesitate to ask questions!
Happy Summer!
